Websites, apps and blogs can be great tools for managing diabetes, but how can you tell which ones are helpful? Teresa Martin, MS, RD, CDE gave us some valuable resources to simplify diabetes care. She recommends that all digital options:

1) offer privacy and security

2) are user friendly

3) include realistic guidelines, not just strict rules

4) have research to support the recommendations.

During January’s HDG gathering, we examined factors that impact our relationship with food and our body, and explored key elements of a Body Trust® Approach to Food, Weight and Health.

The group was lead by Dana Sturtevant, MS, RD. She is the co-founder of Be Nourished, and co-creator of Body Trust®, a radical healing paradigm that encourages movement toward a compassionate model of dynamic self-care to heal body shame and patterns of chronic dieting and disordered eating.
